The Brand Identity

Longevity Bathhouse is a curated cultural wellness experience located in Portland, Oregon. The space includes an onsen, sauna, cold plunge, spa amenities and bodywork services. Each visitor will be fully immersed in a customized, private experience in both indoor and outdoor spaces. The wellness practices provided are thoughtfully informed by Native American and Chinese cultural wellness.  

We strove to create a brand that encompasses Longevity Bathhouse's role as an urban sanctuary that fosters rest, retreat, and repose. We drew on the visceral and primal quality of both the elements, and Native American & Chinese cultural memory. We wanted the brand to embody a zen and wabi-sabi inspired energy, that also felt connected, engaged, and restorative. The illustrations developed were inspired by symbols important to Native American and Chinese wellness, such as cedar, gingko and sage.
